Søknadsbasen is free to use. By starting a Pro subscription you accept the terms and the privacy policy. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you buy or start the trial, see section 5 of the terms and the withdrawal form.

- What does Søknadsbasen cost?
- Creating an account, searching for jobs, writing or uploading cover letters, saving jobs and applying directly is free, and you get a free CV builder with score and findings (watermarked PDF, no template picker). If you want templates, watermark-free PDFs, AI help and job matching, Pro costs NOK 79 per month (7-day free trial) or NOK 299 one-off for 6 months with no automatic renewal.
- What do I get for free, and what requires Pro?
- Standard: search all jobs, a CV builder with score and findings (watermarked PDF, no template picker), write or upload cover letters, save jobs and searches, and apply directly to jobs. The free builder uses the standard template, and suggests «ATS Clean» if your template is hard for recruitment systems to read. Pro adds watermark-free PDFs, a template picker with 10 templates, 8 colour palettes and 5 typography sets, multiple CVs and sharing, AI cover letters and CV suggestions, job matching, insights, the full application pipeline and visibility to employers.
- How does the trial work?
- As a new customer you get 7 days of free, full access when you start the monthly subscription. If you cancel the trial before it ends, you are not charged. After the trial, NOK 79 is charged automatically every month. If you have had Pro before, the first month is charged right away.
- Can I cancel at any time?
- Yes. You can cancel the monthly subscription at any time, in the app under Subscription or by email to marcus@jenshaug.no, without giving a reason. If you cancel by email, you get a confirmation by email. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again. The one-off payment for 6 months does not renew and needs no cancellation.
- What is the difference between monthly and one-off payment?
- Monthly (NOK 79 a month) is flexible and can be stopped whenever you like. The one-off payment (NOK 299) gives 6 months of access without renewal, at a lower monthly price (about NOK 50 a month) if you know you will need the tool for a while.
- Is there any difference between the two Pro plans?
- No. Both Pro monthly and Pro one-off (6 months) give full access to the CV builder, AI, job matching, pipeline, tasks, insights and ATS export, with the same AI quota of 150 AI credits per month. The only difference is how you pay.
- What are AI credits and how many do I get?
- AI credits are what the AI features cost. Most things cost one credit each time you use them: AI cover letters, CV reviews, tailored CVs, interview preparation and follow-up emails. Some cost more: «Deep review» of the CV costs one credit per field with findings, «Split with AI» in the fact library costs 5, and a new job matching run after you have changed your CV or preferences costs 5. The first matching is free. Interpreting a job ad, extracting keywords and the ATS check cost nothing. Pro gives 150 AI credits per calendar month, and unused credits do not carry over to the next month. The trial gives 25 in total. If you need more, you can buy top-ups: 50 credits for NOK 29 or 100 for NOK 49. Purchased credits never expire, and are used when the month's credits do not cover what you do.
- Do I keep my CVs after the subscription ends?
- CVs can be exported to PDF at any time and are yours to keep. When the subscription ends, active editing is closed, but exported files remain yours for good.
- Do you offer student discounts or business licences?
- Not at the moment. Søknadsbasen is built for individuals, and the price is already set low so that it is accessible to everyone.
- Which payment methods do you accept?
- We use Stripe. You can pay with Visa, Mastercard or American Express, and with Klarna where Stripe offers it. Invoices are not available for private individuals.
