Terms for employers

English translation of the Norwegian terms last updated 13 October 2026. Translation dated 15 October 2026.

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Norwegian version (Vilkår for arbeidsgivere) is the binding agreement, and if the two differ, the Norwegian text applies. The Norwegian terms are a preliminary version under legal review; final terms will be published before the employer services open for full production use.

1. Parties and basis of the agreement

These terms govern the use of the employer services in Søknadsbasen (the "Employer Services"), provided by Marcus Jenshaug, Holmestrandgaten 1a, 3112 Tønsberg (the "Provider", "we"). The agreement is entered into with the business that creates or activates an employer account (the "Customer", "you").

The terms are supplemented by the data processing agreement and the privacy policy. In the event of conflict concerning the processing of candidates' personal data, the data processing agreement prevails. Separate additional terms apply to any partner or reseller programme.

The Provider is operated by Marcus Jenshaug as a private individual. No company has been established. When the turnover threshold is reached, the business will be registered and the terms updated accordingly.

2. Who may use the service

The Employer Services are only for businesses that represent a real employer. The Customer may provide an organisation number for verification against the Brønnøysund Register Centre and a verified badge. The person accepting these terms confirms that they have the authority to bind the business.

The Customer may give team members access with different roles. The Customer is responsible for its team members' use, for access being set correctly, and for removing access when it should no longer apply.

3. Lawful use of job ads

The Customer may only publish ads for real, open positions, and undertakes to:

  • not demand fees, payment or other remuneration from job seekers,
  • not advertise pyramid, network marketing, franchise or dealer schemes, or pure marketing disguised as a job,
  • provide sufficient and correct information about the employer, the place of work and the tasks,
  • not publish discriminatory, offensive or unlawful content, cf. the Norwegian Equality and Anti-Discrimination Act.

In the event of a breach, the Provider may remove the ad and block the account without notice and without a refund. The Provider may also reject or postpone publication on suspicion of a breach.

4. Job ads: publication and duration

  • Job ads are paid as a one-off purchase per ad for the chosen publication period. This is not a subscription, and the ad is not extended automatically.
  • The ad ends automatically when the period expires. New visibility requires a new purchase.
  • The Customer may withdraw an ad at any time. Applications already received remain, and the payment is not refunded on voluntary withdrawal.

5. Approval and unlock credits

Access to unlock and contact candidates is through pre-purchased credits. The mechanics are:

  • a credit is reserved when you send a contact request,
  • the credit is consumed when the candidate accepts and the CV is revealed,
  • the credit is refunded automatically if the request is not accepted within the deadline.

You do not get access to a candidate's identity or CV before a credit has actually been used. Credits are prepaid access and do not give an independent monetary claim. Unused credits are refunded under section 10.

6. Candidate contact and sourcing

Candidates are anonymous by default. You can see an anonymised profile, but not the name or contact details before the candidate has consented to contact. Attempts to de-anonymise or identify candidates outside the platform are not permitted.

7. Processing of candidates' personal data

For candidates you search for, contact, assess and communicate with, the Customer is the independent data controller and the Provider is the data processor. The data processing agreement governs this. The personal data may only be used for recruitment, not for marketing or profiling, and you must not enter sensitive personal data in free text.

8. ATS and automated scoring

Match and ATS scoring are decision support. The Provider does not guarantee the accuracy of the scoring. The Customer is responsible for all final decisions and must ensure human assessment before decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects for a candidate, cf. Article 22 of the GDPR.

9. AI features

Employer AI (for example screening, summaries and drafts) uses the organisation's AI credits. AI-generated text is an aid, and the Customer is responsible for the final content and use. When an AI feature is used, the text in question is sent to Anthropic in the USA under the EU standard contractual clauses (SCC). See the privacy policy for details.

10. Payment, refunds and price changes

Payment is handled by Stripe. We never store card details. Jobs, credits and other purchases are charged as one-off purchases at the prices shown when ordering.

Price changes do not affect ads or credits that have already been bought. The Provider is currently not registered for VAT, so the prices are exclusive of value added tax. If the Provider becomes VAT-registered, you will be notified and prices may be adjusted.

11. Brand upgrade

The Customer may choose an optional brand upgrade with its own logo, colour, cover image and hero on the company profile and ads. This is invoiced as a monthly subscription at the price shown when ordering, and renews until cancelled via the payment portal.

12. Limitation of liability

The Employer Services are provided "as is". The Provider is not liable for the number of applicants, the quality of candidates, hiring outcomes or for content and services delivered by third parties (for example Stripe, Anthropic and Resend).

The total liability is in any event limited to the amount the Customer has paid in the 6 months preceding the claim. The limitation of liability does not apply in cases of gross negligence or intent.

13. Intellectual property rights

The Customer owns its own ad and profile content and grants the Provider a right to display and distribute this content as part of the service. The Provider owns all rights to the platform itself, including source code, design and templates.

14. Termination and deletion

  • The Customer may delete the employer account at any time. Active ads are then taken down.
  • The Provider may block or terminate the account in the event of a material breach of section 3 or other misuse, with 14 days' notice where possible, and immediately in the event of a serious breach.
  • On termination, personal data is processed in accordance with the data processing agreement.

15. Force majeure

The Provider is not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by force majeure, including third-party infrastructure failure, cyber attacks, pandemics, strikes or orders from public authorities.

16. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the service and by email a reasonable time before they take effect. Continued use after the change is considered acceptance.

17. Governing law and venue

The terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are sought resolved amicably. If this fails, the venue is the Provider's home court, Vestfold tingrett (Vestfold District Court).
