From the job ad to the application in one click
Søknadsbasen: Add job is an extension for Chrome and Edge on PC and Mac. It adds the job you are looking at to Søknadsbasen, and helps you with the form when you apply. It is not in the Chrome Web Store yet.
Until it is out, paste the link to the job ad into Søknadsbasen.
What it does
This is how it works in the version we are testing now.
Add the job in one click
A button on the ad adds the job to Søknadsbasen with the title, company, location, deadline and ad text. Jobs you have already added are marked “Added to Søknadsbasen”, in search results too.
See which requirements you meet
For a job you have added, it shows which requirements in the ad your CV and cover letter cover, and which are missing. If you have something that is missing, press “I have this” and write where it comes from.
Fill in the application form
When you ask it to, it fills in personal details, work experience, education and references from your profile and CV. It never presses “Next” or “Submit”, so you review and send it yourself.
CV and cover letter as attachments
It uploads the CV and cover letter for the job where the form asks for attachments, or fills in the letter as text. If the letter is too long for the field, “Fix with Søknadsbasen” makes a shorter version with the same content.
Search profiles
Save the filters you use on FINN, arbeidsplassen, Jobbnorge and Karrierestart, such as location and field, and use them again in one click.
The sites it works on
The extension only runs by itself on these sites. LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor are not included, because their terms do not allow it.

Forms differ from employer to employer, so always check before you send.
Privacy
The extension reads the page in your browser to show the button. Nothing from the page is sent to Søknadsbasen until you press “Add to Søknadsbasen”, and then only the job ad is sent. On other sites it only does something when you click its icon. It fills in forms only when you ask, and never submits them. We sell nothing, and use the information only to provide the service.

When is the extension coming?
It is not in the Chrome Web Store yet, and we have no date. When it is out, we will put the link on this page. Until then, paste the link to the job ad into Søknadsbasen.
Is it free?
With a free account you can add jobs with the extension. A CV and cover letter tailored to the job, filling in forms and the attachments require Pro or the 7-day trial. “Fix with Søknadsbasen” uses 1 AI credit.
Does it work on mobile?
No, it is for Chrome and Edge on PC and Mac. On mobile, paste the link to the job ad into Søknadsbasen.
Does it send the application for me?
No. It fills in what you ask for, but never presses “Submit”. You review the form and send it yourself.
