Fortica builds and finishes data centres across Norway and the Nordics. As Logistics Supervisor you make sure materials, equipment and plant reach the site at the right time, in the right place and in good condition, safely and without holding up the work. This includes heavy and sensitive data centre equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS units, chillers and server racks.
Run the delivery schedule and the booking system for delivery slots, in line with the 2–6 week look-ahead plan
Plan oversized deliveries (routes, permits and escorts) and track long-lead equipment (items that take months to deliver)
Manage laydown areas (storage zones on site), unloading zones, site roads and the site store
Receive deliveries: check quantity, condition and paperwork, and report any damage
Coordinate cranes, forklifts and telehandlers, and take part in lift planning and risk assessments
Coordinate daily with subcontractors, suppliers and hauliers
Make sure safety (HSE) rules are followed and logistics areas are kept clean and tidy
Send a weekly logistics report and check logistics costs before invoices are approved
Lead a small team of delivery coordinators, storekeepers, plant operators and banksmen (signallers who guide lifts and vehicles)
Hands-on experience with heavy lifting and site logistics on large construction projects
Experience leading a logistics or warehouse team
Structured, and good at planning ahead
Comfortable with Excel or similar planning tools
Good English, spoken and written
Driving licence class B
Lifting or forklift certificates (for example truckførerbevis) are a plus
You plan ahead and keep control when there is a lot of time pressure. You stand firm on safety and stop unsafe lifts or deliveries. You communicate clearly and solve conflicts between subcontractors before they grow.
3:1 rotation (3 weeks on, 1 week off) with flights, accommodation and meals covered
4 % pension and health insurance
We help you get your HMS card (the Norwegian ID card for everyone working on a construction site) if you do not have one
Real responsibility on large, modern projects
A safe workplace with fair terms and a written employment contract
Part of CTS Group, one of Europe's leading data centre design and build groups
You report to: Site Manager / Project Manager
Location: Fyresdal, Norway
