University Lecturer in Mathematics, Arctic Mathematical Talent Initiative (AMTI)
UiT Arctic University seeks a full-time University Lecturer in Mathematics to lead the Arctic Mathematical Talent Initiative (AMTI), the first stage of a three-level talent programme. The role involves teaching university mathematics courses to secondary school students, developing preparatory courses in proof, algebra and abstract thinking, managing a mentor network, liaising with schools across Northern Norway, and supporting the programme's digital platform. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Mathematics or related field, have teaching or mentoring experience with students, demonstrate educational competence, speak Norwegian at B2 level or higher Scandinavian language, and have strong English. The position is based in Tromsø and involves significant travel within Northern Norway.
