Mental Health Care Worker

Akershus University Hospital seeks an engaged mental health care worker for its newly established Mental Health Ward in Nordbyhagen (PHN-C), a closed unit treating patients with serious mental illness including psychosis, bipolar disorder, severe depression and personality disorders. You will work in a multidisciplinary team providing environmental therapy, medication support and relationship-focused care, typically with patients staying 10-20 days. The role requires valid Norwegian authorization as a mental health care worker, good Norwegian language skills both oral and written, computer literacy and familiarity with the DIPS journal system, plus experience working with mentally ill people and ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
