Graduate Process Engineer

Shape the future of industrial operations with Falkor

At Falkor, we’re building technology that helps industrial companies understand, optimise and operate complex assets more intelligently.

We combine deep industrial domain expertise with advanced simulation, software and AI to solve some of the toughest challenges in energy and industrial operations. We’re now looking for a Graduate Process Engineer to join our Energy Simulation team in Fornebu or Horten.

This is an opportunity to begin your career at the intersection of process engineering, industrial operations and technology, learning from experienced engineers while developing specialist expertise in dynamic process simulation.

The role

You’ll work with our dynamic process and flow simulators, K-Spice® and LedaFlow®, helping customers model, understand and optimise complex industrial processes.

Our technology is used across the energy industry for engineering studies, design verification, virtual commissioning, operator training, real-time production monitoring and flow assurance. It also supports Falkor’s Digital Twin solutions and applications including CO₂ capture, transportation and storage.

You’ll receive support as you learn to build and run simulation models, understand customer processes and contribute to simulator deliveries.

What you’ll do

• Build, configure and run dynamic process simulation models.

• Support the integration of dynamic models with control systems.

• Help prepare simulators for engineering testing, virtual commissioning and operator training.

• Work with experienced colleagues to understand customer processes and technical challenges.

• Apply your engineering knowledge to practical industrial problems.

• Test and document simulation models and technical solutions.

• Collaborate with process engineers, software specialists and other technical disciplines.

• Contribute ideas that improve our tools, products and ways of working.

• Build your technical knowledge and gradually take on greater responsibility.

What we’re looking for

• A recently completed or soon-to-be-completed BSc or MSc in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation or another relevant technical discipline.

• A structured and analytical approach to solving technical problems.

• Curiosity and a genuine appetite to learn.

• An interest in process simulation, industrial software or energy operations.

• A collaborative and solution-oriented approach.

• The ability to communicate and work effectively across technical disciplines.

• Fluency in English and Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.

• Flexibility to travel to customer sites when required.

Interest or academic experience in Python programming, digitalisation, industrial AI, energy-transition technologies or CO₂ capture, transportation and storage would be an advantage.

We know that graduates will not arrive with experience in every area. We’re looking for strong engineering foundations, learning agility and the potential to develop into a specialist within our team.

Why Falkor?

Industrial companies generate enormous amounts of data, but turning that data into better decisions remains a complex challenge.

At Falkor, you’ll work on technology designed for the realities of industrial operations. You’ll learn how sophisticated simulation and software can help customers understand complex systems, test decisions before putting them into practice, train operators safely and operate assets more effectively.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, software specialists and industry experts, giving you the opportunity to build deep technical expertise and develop your career in industrial technology.

Application process
